One Community Walk @ Moulmein

More than 400 residents took part in this year ONE COMMUNITY WALK @ MOULMEIN,  held at Pek Kio Community Centre @ 21 Gloucester Road on 25 August 2013.  Minister Lui Tuck Yew flag-off the event at 8.00 am.  The  event photos are shown below.

28 January 2012 - Moulmein Lunar New Year Celebrations at Royal Hotel

01 February 2012 - Owen Senior Citizen LNY Celebrations
03 February 2012 - Owen/Pek Kio Healthy Lifestyle LNY Dinner.

Noted that the outings are subjected to changes with short notices and must meets the minimium required number of participants.

Circle Line Discovery - OPEN HOUSE

The last 12 Circle Line Stations is opened to public for free ride on 2nd October 2011 from 10.00am to 6.00pm.

These stations started from Caldecott Station to Harbour Front Stations.

These 12 stations are:
Caldecott, Botanic Gardens, Farrer Road, Holland Village, Buona Vista (Interchange), One-North, Kent Ridge, Haw Par Villa, Pasir Panjang, Labrador Park, Telok Blangah and Harbour Front.

Some of these stations are confusing. Caldecott Station is not beside Media Corp, it is at Toa Payoh Rise or Thomson Road and is about half a kilometer oppossite Media Corp. You dun go to Pasir Panjang Station to look for Pasir Panjang Wholesalers, it is near Haw Par Villa Station, and you take to Kent Ridge Station you will exit to National University Hospital. There are more surprises, and it is exciting to go for a ride and exploring by yourself.

The Changi Chapel

The Changi Chapel was built by ex-POWs' internees as a places of comfort and solace. Today it s a point of pilrimage for veterans and families of ex-POWs.

Inside it exhibits some of the correspondence and photographs, drawings and personal artefacts of the compelling story of POWs and civilian internees during their years in captivity.

Owen Senior Citizens Mass Birthday Party - SEPTEMBER 2011

100 members of Owen Senior Citizens Club and residents celebrates Mass Birthday cum Block Party at void deck of Block 48 on 20 September 2011 at 6.30pm and ended at 8.00pm. Mass Birthday Party is celebrated here on quarterly basis in the month of March, June, September and December/January.

Moulmein National Day Dinner 2011

Moulmein celebrates National Day Dinner with more than 1500 participants on Friday, 12 August 2011. The special guests comprises, Members of Parliament- RADM Lui Tuck Yew, Prof Yaacob, Ms Denise Phua, Mr Edwin Tong; well-wishers and sponsors and residents.

The Working Committee appreciate and acknowledge the following Schools and Organisations for their entertainment contributions:
